LANGLEY ADMIN ASSISTANT – Maternity Leave Position


The Opportunity

The Langley office of Greater Vancouver Youth Unlimited is looking for an Administrative Assistant to cover for a one-year maternity leave, beginning in October. We are looking for an organized, self-motivated and forward-thinking person who loves to support others, with a heart to see youth in need find hope. The individual will provide administrative and reception services for 16 hours a week in a vibrant youth work focused office in Langley.

Duties will include:

Production and coordination of mailings, newsletters and promotion

Scheduling and correspondence with Langley staff, schools and GVYU Central Office

Compiling expense reports and related financial documentation

Staff assistance and other admin tasks as assigned


What is Youth Unlimited?

Youth Unlimited is a progressive Christian organization that meets vulnerable youth where they are and connects with them through activities, arts, sports, camps, drop-in centres, youth groups and a myriad of other programs that foster their mental, physical, social, spiritual and emotional well-being. We’re the last stop for many vulnerable youth falling through the cracks in greater Vancouver.

We exist to enhance the development, health, and safety of young people from communities across the Lower Mainland—especially, young people who lack caring adults in their lives. We do this by building a strong, professional, working relationship with schools, youth agencies, churches, social workers, community workers, and students.

  • Microsoft Office Adobe System knowledge is an asset

  • Time commitment: Part time, 16-20 hours per week
  • Meeting with staff and other parties in, coffee shops, and other public places
  • Collaborating with other Langley staff, Greater Vancouver staff, and volunteers
  • Salary, are raised by YU support
  • Supervision and feedback: Regular meetings with supervisor (direct report) and team members.
