Youth Unlimited is in search of a finance and data processor. The incumbent will have experience in finance and the ability to work with money and numbers. He or she will also have good communication skills and the ability to work with digital systems. This position requires the ability to work alone as well as with a team.
Depending on the applicant’s level of experience, there is the opportunity for advancement into assistant bookkeeper and eventually bookkeeper. In this scenario, the incumbent would share responsibilities for financial processing and payroll payables. The job is three days a week for six hours each day and has some flexibility for when within business hours it is worked.
Youth Unlimited (YU) in Greater Vancouver is a faith-based, grass-roots, pioneering organization, catalyzed by innovative outreach workers passionate about reaching kids on the margins. You would be a key member of the finance team, providing support for the other two members of the finance team. The position also requires a servant heart, the desire to see youth ministry flourish, and agreement with the YFC statement of faith.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Processing mail
- Bank deposits
- Data entry
- Generating computer reports
- Other duties as required
Skills and Qualifications
- Able to work in a team and independently
- Aptitude with numbers and money
- Proficient in Excel
- Good communication skills
- At least one year of financial experience (preferred)
