Allie Parry has a passion for the youth of the North Shore. After growing up on the North Shore, she studied Psychology in Calgary before returning home. Now she works as a youth worker with YU. Her experience in her own words: “As a Youth Unlimited youth worker, I love being a consistent support that is always there and a bridge-builder to help youth find the resources they need. The thing I hear most from the youth I work with is how important it is that someone listens to them—I am that companion who walks alongside to listen and ensure that they feel valued and loved. Our team connects with youth by partnering with local schools, government, businesses, churches, and community groups.”
Day to day, you might find Allie out with the youth hiking a trail, painting in the park, drinking tea in a local coffee shop, or sitting together at the school cafeteria. Allie and the YU staff are out and about eagerly wanting to support youth so they can thrive in all facets of life: social, emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental.
Together we can transform the world our youth live in—but we can’t do it without you.Take Action
