Holly’s favourite role in life is that of a self-proclaimed “hype girl”. It is with this enthusiasm that she enters the role of Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
East Vancouver born and Surrey raised, Holly’s life as a youth with a single parent reinforced to her how important it is for youth to have positive adult influences outside of family. After a service trip to Argentina (working with YFC in Buenos Aires), and largely because of the influence of her own youth leaders, Holly realized that she wanted to be a positive influence to teenagers. So after her graduation from UBC with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, she took her degree and became a… youth worker!
Holly worked for Young Life of Canada where mentoring and encouraging young girls in their faith was her favourite part of her week! She did double-duty and also worked as a donor stewardship coordinator for Waterschool, an international organization bringing clean water to those in need. She honed her writing skills volunteering with InDoubt, the young adult section of Back to the Bible.
After wrapping up her two years with Young Life, Holly moved out of the direct youth workspace and looked for roles in communications which led her here!
One of Holly’s roles at Youth Unlimited is to help find and tell the stories that the staff encounter and live. Holly’s passion for youth and belief that story is one of the most powerful gifts God, the great story-writer, has given us has led her to Youth Unlimited. As a hype girl, her hope is to encourage both the storyteller and the reader as they see how God is on the move in Youth Unlimited!
Together we can transform the world our youth live in—but we can’t do it without you.Take Action
