Kari Miedema

Langley Administrative Assistant

Kari first came to know of Youth Unlimited through a youth worker friend. Drawn to the people-oriented focus of YU, Kari knew immediately that she would be a fit.

Kari is responsible for communicating with our partners in Langley, sharing the updates and
stories of our programs and handling any logistical items to keep the team smooth sailing. “It’s
awesome to be able to support the Langley youth workers by taking care of the behind the
scenes tasks so they can spend that time with youth!”, she says.

Kari has had a multitude of experience working with people, and in particular youth. Some of Kari’s first work experiences were with youth through Green Bay Bible Camp in West Kelowna. She worked there leading children’s ministry, cabins, and coordinating events. Most recently, Kari graduated from Trinity Western University in Intercultural Religious Studies, and was involved in discipleship ministries for three years across different roles.

Kari loves to hang out with her friends and family, usually either eating popcorn or dancing. Don’t get caught off guard if Kari sporadically throws a movie quote in the middle of a conversation – she’s always excited to wait and see if you will catch on.
