Charlotte Toney

Youth Worker, Young Families Program

“I could not deny my passion to walk alongside Youth Unlimited and bring hope, a listening ear and an acceptance that says, you belong.”

It was her personal experience of being cared for by a youth worker that motivated Charlotte to create a safe space for young adults in her own life — a space of care where youth can see their full potential, leading them to transformation and hope through life’s highs and lows.

Charlotte works with young families in YU’s Thrive program. Through Thrive, women who are alone, unemployed or on income assistance will be given the tools and direction they need to transform the trajectory of their lives and that of their children.

“Thrive is bringing hope into places where hope seems far to reach, teaching life skills and discovering together what helps us thrive.”

Before joining Youth Unlimited, Charlotte was an expert baker, a children’s program director and a youth volunteer with Anvil Camp and Young Life. Charlotte is married to the love of her life, Alex. They are passionate about sharing their gift of hospitality with those around them, often through her delicious baking.
