Ceyda Taştan

Born and raised in İstanbul, Türkiye, Ceyda (pronounced Jaydah) grew up in a Turkish Christian missionary family. Often the only Christian student in her schools, she developed a strong appreciation for diversity and cross-cultural connection. When the opportunity arose to pursue her education in Canada, she made the move in 2021 and went on to graduate with a BA in Media and Communication.

As Marketing, Communications and Development Coordinator at GVYU, Ceyda helps share the organization’s impact through storytelling, newsletters, social media, and campaign content. Additionally, she supports fundraising efforts, donor outreach, and event coordination. Passionate about youth work and community impact, Ceyda is motivated by the opportunity to amplify stories that inspire positive change across the Lower Mainland.

Outside of work, Ceyda enjoys dancing, hiking and exploring different cultures through food. She hopes to one day travel throughout the world and experience its diverse cuisine!
