Ceyda Taştan

Born and raised in İstanbul, Türkiye, Ceyda grew up in a Turkish Christian missionary family where she learned the values of resilience, faith, and community service. Often the only Christian student in her schools, she developed a strong appreciation for diversity and cross-cultural connection. After serving in her parents’ growing Turkish church, she moved to Canada in 2021 to pursue her education and graduated from Trinity Western University with a BA in Media + Communication in 2025.

As Marketing, Communications and Development Coordinator at GVYU, Ceyda helps share the organization’s impact through storytelling, newsletters, social media, and campaign content. She also supports fundraising efforts, donor outreach, and event coordination. Passionate about youth work and community impact, Ceyda is motivated by the opportunity to amplify stories that inspire positive change across the Lower Mainland.

Outside of work, Ceyda enjoys dancing and exploring different cultures through food. She hopes to one day travel throughout East Asia and experience its diverse cuisine!
