Nate has always had a passion for working alongside youth. After graduating Columbia Bible College, Nate took a position as a pastor at the Bridge Church in North Vancouver. Now, his love for youth brings him to YU – and alongside his wife, Katie! He brings a wealth of knowledge about the North Shore and the youth who live in it, and a desire to be in this work for the long haul.
On the North Shore, Nate works alongside Katie and Andrew through various school drop-ins and one on one mentorship. Why? “I love seeing youth realize their potential. That by even asking them simple questions they can feel loved, seen, heard and known by a caring adult that may otherwise not be present in their life.”
Outside of youth work, Nate loves hanging out with Katie and their dog, Chance. He is a huge sports fan and coffee drinker, and is a big proponent of spending time with his people.
Together we can transform the world our youth live in—but we can’t do it without you.
