Why Aidan Rettich is Sleeping Outside

No person should be forced to sleep on the street. On November 14th, I'm choosing one night of discomfort to draw attention and funds to the invisible, unacceptable state of youth homelessness.

As a youth worker with GVYU, my heart breaks each time I hear a story from a young person who has been kicked out of their house or has chosen to leave because home is more dangerous for them than anywhere else. We have a responsibility to care for them.

Research shows that the most significant protective factor for vulnerable youth is connected, caring relationships. By God's providence, GVYU offers that and much more to these young people, and I am inviting you to be a part of this mission.
