Why Christian Hege is Sleeping Outside

I am sleeping outside for one night to raise awareness on the many challenges faced by the vulnerable youth we work with. For 7 years, I have been walking alongside vulnerable youth in Vancouver. Some of them have experienced or faced homelessness. Many of them live in small homes with lots of family conflicts. Many of them experience poverty and limited resources to break out of the cycle of poverty.

I believe that creating safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments for youth help prevent long-term struggles and play a major role in helping youth reach their full potential. Further, it is a way of inviting youth to experience abundant life in Christ, as we love, care for and support youth on their journey.
