I am a Youth Worker at Mission MY House, youth house. I ran away from home, in late October at 13 years old. I slept outside and every part of my body hurt. I went to a youth house in Abbotsford and found refuge. The workers there helped me redirect my life. The whole team of workers work to create a safe space for all Youth. Every Youth is accepted there and the youth and staff practice inclusitivity ina way I have never before wittnessed. Through connection these youth are escaping intergenerational trauma continuing in there family lines. I am sleeping outside to raise the necessary funds to continue this vital work.
