Why Ryan Scramstad is Sleeping Outside

It's been shown that around 50% of people who are experiencing homelessness first experienced it as a youth. After years of working with youth through the programming at Jesters Theatre, it's become painfully obvious how easy this can happen with some kids, and it breaks my heart. With Jesters Theatre stemming from the core values of Youth Unlimited, it means that we care for the youth holistically before we worry about the quality of a theatre production. It means we endeavour to instill hope in them before we instill a set of skills. It means we catch them before they're in a crisis.
