Why Temitayo Adewuyi is Sleeping Outside

I believe it is necessary to raise awareness on social issues, especially homelessness since it is very prevalent in British Columbia. As a high schooler, I often wonder what are the ways that I can contribute to my community without having sufficient funds to make donations or organize larger events. Thus, participating in the Sleepout gives me the chance to experience what it is like for those who battle with homelessness and it also allows me to spread awareness on it. I also want to help because I will be able to form more connections in my community and gain more knowledge on the struggles that others face.
