Why YoungLife for MY House is Sleeping Outside
We’re sleeping outside for one night, so homeless and vulnerable youth can have a lifetime of safety and support. MY House (Mission Youth House) serves youth from Mission, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Hope, Langley, Surrey, Vancouver, and even Ontario and the Prairies. Homeless and vulnerable youth have found it to be a safe place to feel at home and will travel just to connect to the youth workers and resources available to them in Mission. These youth have high-risk factors for homelessness, addiction, gang recruitment, sexual exploitation and extreme poverty. We have seen how early intervention is life-changing and can help decrease those risk factors and change the trajectory of a youth’s life. By donating through our team, you are standing with us as we care for homeless and vulnerable youth in Mission and surrounding areas.
