Kigali Christian School (KCS), operated by Rwanda YFC, is raising up future leaders with a vision for peace, equality, and justice. Through education — and the knowledge that they are known, loved, and believed in — students are given the opportunity to thrive.
Many Rwandan children are in poverty and have no access to solid education, so KCS provides scholarships funded by Greater Vancouver Youth Unlimited partners.
As the school grows, so do its needs. Our team is sending a shipping container to grow their resources, and we need your gently loved hand-me-downs! Feel free to sponsor a child or donate as well.
What’s needed:
- Books (fiction, non-fiction, textbooks, story/picture books – if they’re in good reading shape, we’ll take them!)
- Science Equipment
- 3 electric circuits
- 3 skeletons
- 3 models of the human torso and organs
- 3 models of vertebrate animals (chicken, frog, mouse, etc.)
- 3 magnetic kits
- Miscellaneous School Items
- Sports Equipment: Balls and nets
- Computer Equipment: Monitors, laptops, keyboards
- Broader School Needs: Folding tables, folding chairs, desks, sewing equipment

When: Mondays and Thursdays (except stats and Thurs April 2 and Thurs May 7)
