Every night, hundreds of youth in our community spend a night on the streets because they do not have a safe place to sleep, and many more are at risk of joining them. Youth Unlimited has been faithfully working for decades to change this reality by building relationships and trust with youth who are at risk of gang recruitment, sex trafficking and homelessness. With your support, we can be the hands and feet that most people can’t be—reaching out to the youth who are forgotten and falling through the cracks in dark and lonely places.
This fall, we are thrilled to be partnering with the Joseph Richard Group to raise funds and help both homeless youth and those at risk of becoming homeless. On November 18th, hundreds of caring people will be joining together in the car park of S+L Kitchen & Bar in Surrey to sleep out for the night to raise money for these youth who need it most.

How you will be helping the lives of homeless youth:
Every ministry across our organization have connections with youth who are at risk or already living on the street. Our aim is to love like Jesus loved and to bring healing to the lives and futures of these kids. There are two ministries in Youth Unlimited who have the most direct work with homeless youth; Mission MY House and Street Life.
MY House exists for homeless youth in Mission. It is a home where at risk and vulnerable youth can come and find refuge and security. My House provides necessities like laundry, showers and food, but more than that, it provides support and aid from counselors and youth workers.
StreetLife is a ministry in East Vancouver where a retro fitted RV awaits youth to drop in and spend time – usually with youth workers, grabbing a meal and chatting over a hot drink. Many of these youth are in critical stages of their lives and are in desperate need of intervention and healthy community. StreetLife doesn’t house the homeless youth in the area, but they point them to shelters and other programs that will provide them regular food and housing. Our services pertain to connection and relationship building because the reality is most of these youth do not have a positive adult figure in their life. Mainly, early intervention in these kid’s lives is where we make our impact and help prevent homelessness for their future.
