Sharon Wiebe

Growing up in a family that saw the importance of sharing Christ’s love motivated Sharon to attend Briercrest Bible College to study youth and counselling. It was there that she was befriended by professors with a missionary heart who encouraged her to seek out opportunities to serve youth. And so, it was no surprise when Sharon joined YFC/ Youth Unlimited  in 1994 — and she’s been here ever since!

Now married to Dave (Abbotsford YU, Area Director), her young adult children  have also been intermittent  staff or volunteers for many years at YFC/ Youth Unlimited.

Sharon has been discipling youth and equipping volunteers and student leaders for many years.  In October of 2020, she transitioned to the role of Volunteer Coordinator which allowed her to use her past experiences to support our GVYU staff team in the discipleship of volunteers.  Consistently working hard to be a part of GVYU’s growth, in 2024, Sharon stepped up into the brand new role of Fraser Valley Regional Director. Here, she oversees the areas of Abbotsford, Chilliwack and Mission and provides support to their area directors.
